We need an all American movement to bring the country back on the right track. We need an all American movement to break the logjam in the US Congress caused by the extreme partisanship and ideological divide. It is, therefore, the duty of all people to get involved in creating a critical mass for this all American movement, the American Satyagraha. The critical mass will consist of one million copies of this document being sent from all over the country to Washington - 25% to the President, 25% to the Senators and 50% to the Congress persons.
No demonstrations or noise will be necessary. One million copies of this document (book) will carry the peoples' voice louder than anything else. Washington will not be able to ignore it in spite of all the lobbyists around. In fact Washington would feel relieved, having received a clear mandate and a sense of direction from the people. The problems are many but the real crux is the high healthcare expenditure putting an undue burden on economy and national debt, and making America less competitive in the global marketplace. At 18% of the GDP it costs annually about two and a half trillion dollars. If we can bring it down to 15%, it will save 420 billion dollars a year. This will act as a stimulus to the economy year after year after year, and restore American competitiveness. A lot of manufacturing which has shifted oversees over the years will come back and produce employment and prosperity here at home. The four branches of government - the Whitehouse, the Capitol, the Supreme Court and "media" -- have not be en able to accomplish this. So now, it is up to the people and their desire and willingness to do it for their own sake, and for the sake of the country.
